Foundation First Aid - Full day
Previously known as Workplace First Aid. In this course you will learn to assess the scene and casualty for life-threatening conditions and provide the necessary first aid. You will also gain knowledge of common first aid conditions and how to respond to them. It is a legislative requirement for first aid in the workplace. When you complete this course successfully you will gain a Foundation First Aid certificate (NZQA 6402,6401) valid for 2 years.

6401 - Provide first aid (Level 2, Credits 1)

- Trauma (Injury)
- Fractures, sprains & dislocations
- Poisoning
- Medical Conditions (Asthma, Heart attack, Diabetes, Stroke, Seizures)
- Allergic Reactions (Anaphylaxis)
Foundation First Aid Refresher
If your Workplace or Foundation First Aid certificate is due for renewal you can join this course to renew your existing certificate. This option is for people who have a Foundation First Aid Certificate that is current or has not expired before the course start date (unless extenuating circumstances). Please check your certificate expiry date before registering and be ready to upload a copy when you register, email it before the course or bring it to the session.
New Zealand First Aid Refresher
This was previously known as Comprehensive Workplace. If your Comprehensive Workplace/ New Zealand First Aid certificate is due for renewal you can join the first day of the course to renew your existing certificate. This option is for people who have a Comprehensive Workplace First Aid Certificate that is current or has not expired before the course start date (unless extenuating circumstances). Please check your certificate expiry date before registering and be ready to upload a copy when you register, email it before the course or bring it to the session.
Provide Basic Life Support/CPR
Previously known as Basic First Aid/CPR. Learn the essential skills in our 3.5 hour Basic First Aid course. You will learn to deal with life-threatening emergencies and cover the topics of NZQA unit standard 6402:
- Scene Management
- Primary Survey
- CPR - Adult, Child, Infant
- AED use
- Choking - Adult, Child, Infant
On successfully completing this course you will be issued the unit standard and a Basic First Aid Certificate valid for 2 years. Or, simply complete the course without the unit standard assessment to refresh your knowledge.less
